The guest speaker, Julie Bio Mondeh, attended Trust International Primary School and Jublie International Secondary School in Guinea before relocating to Sierra Leone to take her WASSCE exams while staying with her aunt, who was a traveler. Her childhood dream had been to become an astronaut; Julie ultimately chose to study physics at Milton Margai College because of her desire to formulate her own theories.

While attending college, Julie worked as a security guard to support her studies. Subsequently, she was recommended by a lecturer to work as an independent monitor for the World Health Organization (WHO). In 2019, she graduated with a degree in physics and commenced employment at Hartford School in Moyamba.

During her time teaching, Julie encountered personal challenges when she fell in love with a man and became pregnant. This difficult period left her as a single mother struggling to care for her son. Despite facing immense hardship and contemplating suicide, Julie found the strength to persevere, ultimately rebuilding
