KIF @ SLACFest 2025

Hello everyone. We continued the great 2025 we are having by attending the this years SLACFEST (Sierra Leone Arts & Cultural Festival), which took place from October 31st to 2nd of November at Theatre Peckham in London.

Organised by ‘Young Sierra Leonean CIC‘, we were honoured to be chosen as the events charity partner.

Day 1, our founder Mohammed Sesay was chosen to as one of the events speakers. He gave a talk about the charity, how it was founded, the charities visions and goals and, the journey we have been on.

His talk was incredibly well received.

On Day 2, We spent the day fundraising. Once again we returned with our successful Spin to Win fundraiser. Working once again with Black owned business, who donated service and products as Prizes. We also sold freshly handmade banana cake and carrot cake. These cakes proved incredibly popular with the attendees.

Overall the event proved to be a huge success for the charity as we were able to raise quite a lot of money as well as successfully network and increase our profile to a larger audience.  A massive thanks you to all those who attended and took part ion the fundraising.
